The Compass at Margaritaville Hotel Mural

Commissioned by Tribal One, a 100% owned and operated Native American company, who owns a number of buildings and property in the Medford, OR area. They built the hotel and kept the neighboring Roxy Anne Lanes Bowling Alley open and running, although the exterior of the alley wall faced the hotel. I was hired to decorate that wall after they saw my other work in Medford for the Southern Oregon Historical Society.
We went with a colorful, tropical inspired Margaritaville themed, accordion style design to fill the elongated wall. I used an AI algorithm to generate images using prompt words, and collaged those together to form the design. It was SO MUCH FUN to paint! I completed one panel per day and spent three weeks there. The best part is that the hotel guests can see the artwork from their windows. This was a $25k commission. My largest for a single mural ever!
